Classic Ford Mustang

Continuing our talk on hot El-Camino’s here’s another sport ute that will eminently spice up your libido… The Ford Mustang El-Camino or simply Mustangmino, combines the front-end of a 1966 Mustang with the rear-half of a shortened Chevy S-10 pick-up box. The bastardized “Mustangmino” is up for sale on eBay but before you attempt to sharpen your “French”, note that the seller supports that the rear-half of the Mustang was completely destroyed when he acquired the classic coupe. Whatever the reason or the cause, this is one ugly piece of "merde".

For Sale - 1966 Mustang one-of-a-kind pickup truck - The front half (cab) is a 1966 mustang and the rear half is a tubular steel frame with a shorten S-10 box with a customize tail gate. The vehicle was originally made because no one makes a pickup truck which is less than 16 feet long and that is the length of my side of the garage. I know it is sacrilegious to do this to a Mustang, however the rear half of this one was already gone when I got it.

It was built with the original 108 inch wheel base, the rear of the cab had a tubular roll cage welded in for support and was than enclosed with sheet metal. The rear frame is 1 1/2 x 3 inch tubular steel built in a ladder style construction and in bolted and welded to the side rocker panels, and tied into the roll cage and is also connected to the front frame rails extension with frame connectors. I actually hauled 2 tons of scrap steel to the junk yard in the box of this vehicle so I know it is strong enough.
